Want a Christian College athlete/FCA Staff to speak at your next event?

Thank you for your interest in the ministry of
Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Our heart is to make a mighty eternal impact in our community by using the platform and influence of athletics!  Please know that effective and fruitful ministry is done on the basis of trust, honesty and friendship. With this in mind, we have found it best to make sure that clear expectations are spelled out for all involved. To make this process more effective, we have provided the following information below.

To request a FCA staff person and available FCA student athlete(s) from the University of Illinois to speak to your school, group or church, please read through the ministry agreement and sign it. Then fill out the Ministry Request Form completely and email it back for our records. We will then contact you via email or phone. If there are any questions please call 217.378.4518 and ask to speak to Amy Marino. All information is for office use only and will be kept confidential.

Our Staff:

Amy Marino and Marcellus Casey:
work specifically on the University of Illinois campus with the varsity student athletes and coaches.

Amy has been on staff in IL since September 2004. She has worked over 35 FCA camps in 5 states (KS, OK, CO, NE, IL). She is passionate, powerful and inspiring. Amy was a multi-sport athlete in high school lettering in volleyball, basketball and softball.  She also played volleyball through the United States Volleyball Association (USVBA).  She graduated with honors from Fort Hays State University (Hays, KS) with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and minor in Leadership Studies. After graduation Amy attended bible school where she played on the 2001 National Championship Basketball Team. She is also an ordained minister.

Marcellus has been on staff in IL since August of 2005. He is a graduate from Northwest Missouri State University where he played football. Marcellus serves as chaplain for the Univeristy of Illinois Football Team and Men's Basketball Team.

OPERATION IMPACT:

Read the testimonies and see for yourself the potential impact FCA can have on your organization.

AMY,

I JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR SUNDAY NIGHT. IT WAS TERRIFIC! I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT POSITIVE FEEDBACK. IN FACT, ONE PARENT TOLD ME HE HAD A GREAT CONVERSATION WITH HIS SON AFTER THE EVENT!

KEEP UP ALL THE GREAT WORK FOR THE LORD. WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU ALL. KEEP LETTING THE LORD USE YOU MIGHTILY!

I AM SURE WE WILL DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS AGAIN. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Pastor Greer, Homer New Life Church

Comments from a two night youth rally:

"WOW!! Some kids made commitments for the first time on Sunday morning, some of our teens, who we have prayed for as they became more and more disinterested in their Christian walk have renewed their commitments. The teens felt like they connected with the athletes and one mom said the Sat. night female athletes and Amy's talk on dating and intimacy hit her daughter right where she's at."

One parent said she has never had so much fun in church before.

Another parent saw Amy worshipping with the band and jumping up and down to "Yes, Lord" and got tears in his eyes when he described the 10-12 year old boys almost tripping over each other to join in on the worship.

An entire body of believers has a renewed sense of excitement about what the Lord is doing in peoples lives -- including the student athletes.

Below is the Speaking Request Form you can download. Email the completed forms to amarino@fca.org. We will respond to your request in a timely manner. We are looking forward to an incredible time of ministry!
